From the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont comes Viscus. Their music brings together elements of Jazz, Rock, Funk and Soul. Rock solid rhythms, instrumental virtuosity, funk nasty grooves, uplifting lyrics and soulful vocals culminate in an entrancing rock out experience.

Ira Friedman is the alchemist, cooking up wild compositions and painting lush landscapes with his vibrant keyboards and soulful voice. Micah Carbonneau, whether he’s on the 5 string, fretless, or stand up bass, is always phatt and funky, laying it down solid and slinky. Troy Hubbard get’s your booty shakin’ with some of the tightest and freshest beats on four limbs. The psychedelic baritone sax of Luke Laplant grabs you right where you like it.

After a lengthy break, Viscus returns with a batch of fresh material, and a few new gigs. They are now working with Montpelier drummer Andrew Suits, who plays for groups De Moja, the Dave Keller band, and with Sarah Grace. I'm certain I have omitted some. We are having a great time playing with Andy, and you all should come check it out at one of these great venues.
